BOLT is a physics-based multiplayer football game. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect. This policy explains what information we gather and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Player Data

• Player Name: The display name you choose when playing.
• Player ID: A randomly generated unique identifier (UUID) stored locally on your device to track your game statistics and ELO rating.
• Game Statistics: Your wins, losses, goals, and ELO rating associated with your Player ID.

Preferences

• Automated Region Selection: We automatically measure your connection to our servers to select the best region for optimal connection quality.

Technical Data

• Connection Metrics: Ping times to game servers to ensure smooth gameplay.

Data Storage

Your player name, ID, preferences, and local statistics are stored in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and is not automatically transmitted to our servers unless you actively participate in a match.

Game statistics (ELO, match history) are stored on our game servers to maintain leaderboards and enable ranked play.

Advertising (Mobile App Only)

On our mobile application (iOS and Android), we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's privacy policy. This advertising functionality is only active on native mobile platforms and not on the web version.

Third-Party Services

Your Rights

You can clear your local data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or uninstalling the mobile app. This will reset your player ID and local statistics. Note that server-side statistics associated with your previous player ID will remain on our leaderboards.

Children's Privacy

BOLT does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
